I’ve heard “writers write” before and it’s true and well put here. But I’d add another dimension. Writers observe. Train your brain to always see what this big world is showing you, making mental notes and filing them away, thinking about how you’d interpret it in words. Spend less time poking at the laptop. More time wandering with eyes open and a piece of paper in your pocket. Cures writer’s block.
